Cytisine nicotine replacement agent that can be used in electronic cigarettes

The latest innovation in e-cigarettes is to replace nicotine in the e-liquid with cytisine. Cytisine has the same stimulating effect on the body as nicotine, but is less addictive.

The organic compound Cytisine (Cj 1H14 2O), has been widely used for smoking cessation in tablet form. In Eastern Europe, it is sold under the brand name Tabex or Desmoxan, and has recently been introduced to Canada under the brand name Cravv.

Other side effects of nicotine

A study published in 2014 in the New England Journal of Medicine looked at the ingredients that are effective for smoking cessation and compared them to nicotine replacement therapies.

The study concluded that, when combined with simple behavioral support, cytisine was more effective in helping people quit than nicotine replacement therapy.

A normal bottle of essential oil will have a blending ratio of 90% glycol and 10% cytisine.

“The object of the invention entitled “cytisine-containing e-liquid for electronic cigarettes” is to provide an e-liquid for electronic cigarettes, containing natural or synthetic cytisine at a dosage of 0.000000001% of 99.999999999% of the total volume of the e-liquid. Thus, an e-liquid containing a substance other than nicotine at a concentration of 0.000000001% of the total volume of the e-liquid will be produced.” Excerpt from Sumo Brain’s patent announcement.

Works like nicotine but is less addictive?

Cytisine has been shown to have similar effects to nicotine products. It stimulates the nervous system, increases adrenaline secretion and stimulates the vasomotor center, thereby causing a slight increase in blood pressure. However, it has also been shown to be less addictive than nicotine, so it avoids the most dangerous aspects.
