Quit Smoking Journey in 4 Weeks

Before starting the article, I want you to take a few seconds to remember when was the first cigarette you smoked and why did you seek it out. For me, the first time I smoked was at the age of 15 - too young for this toxic substance. Honestly, at that time, I thought smoking represented coolness, experience and imitating the "mood" gestures of the actors on the screen. Gradually, it became a habit and from just imitating, I began to depend on it. Especially in the high school and university environment, the pressure of studying and taking exams gave me more reasons to rely on cigarettes.

Thinking back, I still can't believe I escaped the vicious cycle of smoking. Quitting smoking was an almost impossible achievement for me. According to statistics, in our country, 87% of men have used tobacco, 1 in 2 people under 20 years old smokes and the average age to start is 17. Tobacco is poisoning young people, yes. But is there any way to prevent this situation? I'm afraid it's very difficult.

Of course, after a few years of smoking, I noticed negative changes in my body and was determined to quit. I was so eloquent in my words, but after half a day of quitting, the cravings really made me miserable. I also tried smoking cessation products such as mouthwash or chewing gum,... but none of them worked. That's when a close friend introduced me to vaping. At first, my trust in vaping was almost zero, I considered it nothing more than a toy. But in the end, this was the only method I felt was truly effective in quitting smoking.

If you ask me now what vaping is to me, the answer would be: “vaping is a lifestyle, a hobby, a hobby and a way for me to connect with others but above all, vaping helps me get out of the rut before I get too deep into it” . I quit smoking after 4 weeks and I want to share this journey with you.

First, the reason to quit smoking. Everyone knows that cigarettes are harmful, but the health benefits of quitting smoking do not sound appealing enough. It's the same as when you go on a diet, very few people really think about dieting to ensure health, most will think like "Diet will make the body more attractive, diet will make me more professional in the eyes of others,..." and this is also true for cigarettes. You know, in my decision to quit smoking, only 1/10 is for health reasons, the rest is because cigarettes cost me a lot of money (about 300k/week) and make me feel self-conscious when talking to others. What about vaping? With the same amount of money, I can buy enough essential oils for 4 weeks. Vaping causes less damage to health, wallet and impression in the eyes of others, that's enough reason to quit smoking.

The first device I used was a pod mod , specifically the Aspire Vilter Kit pod that came with a bottle of 30mg salt nic juice , but at that time I was still smoking about 1 pack of cigarettes a day, vaping didn't seem to work very well. I even felt more tired because the amount of nicotine entering my body was higher than before. I decided to take a step further, switching to 50mg juice and quit smoking completely. This decision made me quite "struggle" for the first week, but then my body gradually got used to the new form of nicotine and reduced my cravings. At this time, I also realized that the time between each craving had increased from 1 hour to 3 hours, meaning that instead of having to go out every now and then to light a cigarette, now I just need to look out the window, enjoy a fragrant vape puff and continue working. A close example of how to increase productivity by switching from cigarettes to vapes.

After about 2 weeks of using 50ni juice, I still felt the "craving" every time I smelled cigarettes but I was no longer crazy enough to light up a cigarette right away. And the miracle happened at the end of the 4th week, that is when I bought a new pack of cigarettes, opened it, lit it and took a puff but... instead of feeling comfortable like before, there was only a bad smell and an unpleasant bitter taste. That pack of cigarettes is still in the desk drawer with 19 cigarettes, not a single inch off. I quit smoking after exactly 1 month instead of the 12-month course at the smoking cessation center. That was 2 years ago, now I don't depend on cigarettes or vapes to get nicotine anymore, I still play vape at low ni levels (3-6mg) simply because it has become a hobby of mine.

So why is vaping more effective than other methods for quitting smoking? For me, vaping simply changes your smoking habits. You still take a puff of smoke, still feel the tingling sensation of nicotine, but there are absolutely no other harmful impurities. Remember that addictive nicotine and addictive cigarettes are two completely different concepts. Notice that traditional smokers always increase their daily cigarette consumption over time, while vapers regularly reduce the amount of nicotine in their essential oils. After a night of looking up the chemicals in cigarettes on Wikipedia, I read a line like this: "Cigarette smoke contains MAOIs, which have the effect of increasing conduction in the brain, increasing the intensity of nicotine's impact on the brain." This property of increasing conduction to the brain is very similar to opium, which is also the reason why cigarettes can be very addictive after only 3-4 tries, especially on the brains of teenagers. Smokers are not simply addicted to nicotine, which is a mild stimulant similar to caffeine, but they are addicted to the other substances in cigarette smoke and, of course, the feeling of smoke in their mouth. This also explains why smoking brings a feeling of refreshment and relaxation. The main reason why other methods of quitting smoking are not effective is that they force smokers to quit abruptly, which is very difficult and often the smoker will eventually return to smoking with even greater intensity. Vaping replicates a puff of cigarette smoke while significantly reducing the harmful substances entering the body, helping the user's body adapt gradually and from there, they can quit smoking completely without causing "withdrawal".

Many people do not believe in vaping because they are influenced by the “herd effect” or simply have not tried it. I am a former smoker and have successfully quit smoking thanks to vaping, effectively and gently. Believe in yourself, believe in the method I have tried, I believe you will also successfully quit smoking.
