The joint development partnership between Chinese company iJoy and American company Limitless Mod appears to have broken down, with one side claiming the other has copied its products.
Is the “honeymoon” of iJoy and Limitless over?
The partnership between China’s iJoy and America’s Limitless Mod has been a huge success so far. The products that have come out of their collaboration are high-quality products like the iJoy Limitless RDTA, LUX box mod , and XL tank. They are a prime example of the fusion of Western design and Eastern manufacturing quality. Unfortunately, it seems that the relationship has begun to fray. There has been an article suggesting that Limitless has tarnished iJoy over its latest product.

It seems Limitless’s problem lies with iJoy’s Combo RDTA. According to the company, “The interchangeable foot base is a design concept developed by Limitless Mod.” In addition to accusing iJoy of stealing its design, the company also complained about its marketing. For example, iJoy’s Combo RDTA launch included the line “Limitless Fun For Builders,” followed by the line, “Imagination is limitless, Design is limitless, COMBO is limitless.”

Limitless has confirmed their accusations in professional terms in posts on their official Facebook and Instagram pages. They also used the tag “Stay Authentic, Stay Limitless”, as if to mock their former partner for stealing the design and using it for the iJoy Combo RDTA.
Limitless has been unprofessional in responding to comments on Instagram and Facebook, some of which are quite funny, like:
“iJoy stole our idea and refused to ship the finished product and now they are stealing our customers. Don’t buy from iJoy, they are scammers. All their products with the Limitless logo are fake.”
Temporarily ignoring spelling and logic, comments like this have made many vapers who have been following this story laugh until their stomachs hurt.

iJoy, on the other hand, has taken the matter more seriously and has taken it upon themselves to address it. The company has posted their side of the story on Instagram and Facebook. Among the accusations are that Vapor Hub (Limitless’s parent company) has defaulted on payments and that the other products in the collaboration series, other than the Limitless 24, are all custom-designed. As for the atomizer that started it all:
“We guarantee that the COMBO RDTA is designed and manufactured entirely by iJoy.”
iJoy confirmed that iJoy COMBO was designed and manufactured by them.
Furthermore, the two companies disagreed on the price of the LUX box mod. iJoy wanted to sell it for around $60 while Vapor Hub settled on $149. And after the partnership was broken, the LUX was liquidated for $59.99.
As for the partnership, it seems that iJoy knows exactly what it can and cannot do at the moment. They admit that Vapor Hub has a much larger marketing market, and they still need to rely on this relationship to boost sales in the US.
“iJoy is responsible for R&D and production, while Vapor Hub is responsible for marketing and advertising. If Vapor Hub only cares about their own interests and leaves the remaining money to iJoy, then we can’t do anything, because all the products and investments are paid for by iJoy, and Vapor Hub doesn’t have to spend a penny, they don’t lose anything. We also realize that we still don’t have a strong and influential marketing network in the US like Vapor Hub! But we hope that justice will be on our side, we don’t want things to get worse! iJoy is still willing to pay, but on the condition that Vapor Hub doesn’t ask for the goods to be delivered without payment! This is a huge risk for iJoy, and almost all of iJoy’s shareholders want to reject this kind of cooperation!”
