The hashtag #hieudungvevape on Vape Vietnam is getting more and more popular. When I read it, I found that our community has many very good and civilized views on vaping for reference. You guys should click on the hashtag to read and refer to it. If you have any good ideas, feel free to post them. I also just posted an article discussing some of the prejudices "people" say about vaping, and I see that many of you guys are interested and eager to discuss. Now I will continue to follow the trend to talk more about this topic, based on some news I just read:
It is true that a prestigious health organization like WHO once had a… wrong assessment about vaping. Specifically, they once affirmed that vaping has the same health risks as cigarettes; even refusing to acknowledge the potential to reduce harm and protect public health of vaping - which has been proven through many studies.
Of course, the vaper community - those who have directly used vapes and know the difference between vapes and cigarettes - will not let it go :)) They have a whole website called Voices4Vape, with a series of hashtags to campaign and call on the WHO to recognize the potential to reduce the harm of smokeless tobacco products: #WHOisfailingus ; #WHOshouldcare ; #FactsnotFiction ,...
In addition to users, groups of experts, doctors, etc. have also spoken out against WHO: More than 100 medical experts in the field of nicotine and tobacco research; policy makers wrote a letter, including research and results demonstrating the potential to reduce the harm of vaping to send to WHO. The letter includes the following paragraph: "WHO is rejecting a public health strategy that could avoid millions of smoking-related deaths" .
Well, personally, I have always maintained the view that vaping is less harmful to the health of users and those around them. Reading more news like the one above has further reinforced that view. So you can see, the benefit of sharing information like this in the community is not only to provide knowledge, but also to make civilized vape users feel more secure about their choice. Why not share more actively, guys?
