The Right To Vape International Tour has begun. Stay tuned to Vaping360 for more updates on their journey.
The Right To Vape Tour is underway and may be coming to your area soon! This cross-country support program has some stops scheduled and others are still being determined.
The Right To Vape Coalition, which includes the American Vaping Association, CASAA, and SFATA, will host a series of rallies, press conferences, and public speaking engagements. The goal of this trip is to end the FDA’s assault on vaping by changing the laws that have already been enacted.
All Right To Vape Tour events are free and open to everyone. However, if you register on the website and RSVP you can get a free meal and other goodies so we encourage you to register.
Las Vegas
Danny Tarkanian speaks in Las Vegas
The first event was held in Las Vegas on Sunday, where a huge crowd of vapers came out to hear a great speech from supporters and US House candidate Danny Tarkanian, who is running to replace Joe Heck (who is running for the Senate). Nevada vapers should get involved and support these two candidates for Congress!
Nevada Vaping Association members Kat York and Deanna Thompson also participated in the first protest.
This Week: West Coast
Southern California
The tour bus will head west for vaper voters on Tuesday, April 10 at United Vape in Santee, CA (located northeast of San Diego). Representative Duncan Hunter will also be in attendance (this event requires RSVP, not an open event).
Most of the west coast events will include speeches from AVA’s Gregory Conlay, CASAA’s Julie Woessner and Alex Clark, SFATA’s Pamela Gorman, and Paul Blair – a dream team of advocates guaranteed to get all vapers excited.
California vapers need to fuel up now to register to vote and make it to the polls on November 8. The ballot includes Proposition 56, which would place a 70% or higher tax on all vaping products sold in the state.
Vapers need to get serious about educating their families about the election. If we don’t act now, very few vape shops and manufacturers will survive the terrible burden of this ridiculous tax law.
Northern California: Time to Act!
The group continues to NorCal Vape in Redding on Wednesday, October 5 for lunch and exercise. Kari Hess, owner of NorCal Vape and co-chair of SFATA Northern California, will also be speaking at the event. Be sure to RSVP for this stop – those who register will receive a free RTV T-shirt.
Portland, Oregon
On Thursday, October 6th, the Right To Vape Tour will be traveling through Oregon for a rally in Portland at Division Vapor. RSVP online for the event and you’ll get a free shirt and dinner.
Seattle/Tacoma, Washington
The group will head to Washington for a rally at The Vaporium in Fife (near Tacoma) on Friday, October 7. Vaporium owner Kim Thompson will speak at the event. Thompson is the president of the Pink Lung Brigade, one of the most effective state unions in the country.
At the Washington stop, video testimonials from vapers will be recorded. Come join the event and tell your story! And early bird registrations will get a cool t-shirt.
A slow right turn
Poise, Idaho
The group will head east and stop at Julia Davis Park in Boise on Sunday, October 9. Sign up and join them for lunch.
Billing, Montana
uBlaze Vapor in Billing will be the host for this stop. It's an important stop, as October 11 is the last day for Montanans to register to vote by mail. RTV staff will be setting up registration materials and lots of giveaways.
Facing east
From Billing, the group will continue east. Additional stops have been identified including Green Bay, WI and Indianapolis, with more locations to be added later. Follow the group on Facebook and stay tuned for more updates on events scheduled throughout the month.
