Before reading the article shared by a friend in my group, I have to admit that the news about the harmful effects of electronic cigarettes is increasingly widespread, to be honest, we are not unfamiliar with it. But recently, there have been many incidents related to electronic cigarettes in the press, and as a result, many general information sites have also published many articles.
- The headline is "The cause of the emergency was due to electronic cigarettes", while the main culprit was actually synthetic drugs that were secretly put into the product.
- So, the conclusion "Electronic cigarettes are a cancer-causing hazard" after only observing 1-2 shipments of smuggled goods of unknown origin, completely ignoring the ability to minimize the harm that quality products bring to users.
- What about "The more you use vape, the harder it is to quit smoking" or even "New generation cigarette smoke contains carcinogens no less than cigarettes"? Many articles just assume that interpretation without any scientific evidence.
That's why the desire to speak up for the community arose. In my opinion:
- First, regarding the safety of e-cigarettes, you can be completely assured that they are less harmful than cigarettes. Even the American Association of Public Health Physicians has stated that “Smokeless tobacco/nicotine products available on the US market, although risky, carry significantly less risk of illness and death and can be quitted more easily than cigarettes.”
- Second, about poor quality products - this depends entirely on human consciousness. Please be careful and alert by selecting the information to read, understand correctly about vape before deciding to use or not to use, how to use.
Adding ONE more comprehensive, thorough review article means MORE people have the opportunity to understand vaping correctly and have a safer alternative for their health. How much more reasonable, don't you think?
