A landmark medical report by the Royal College of Physicians has “encouraged” the use of e-cigarettes. And people need to be made aware that e-cigarettes are much safer than regular cigarettes. However, the report also makes it clear that e-cigarettes are not the only “gateway” to quitting traditional cigarettes.
But, what is the problem here?
According to the social research, "Under the new law, e-cigarette advertising will be banned in print, on television and radio, while other regulations on nicotine liquids and flavours will still be introduced."
This is a ridiculous and oppressive practice for e-cigarettes, as e-cigarette use is treated like smoking and advertising is restricted. Even though health experts have considered e-cigarette use to be an effective aid to quitting smoking.
The confusion here is due to the design of the e-cigarette and its smoke. Others argue that the ban on advertising is due to the product containing nicotine . So why aren't potatoes banned because they contain nicotine? Although the biggest toxic substance in regular cigarettes comes from tar, e-cigarettes don't contain any.
To address this issue in a polite way, representatives of many e-cigarette companies have spoken out: “If our products are deemed to benefit the health of former smokers and, in fact, help them quit completely; allow our industry and the businesses in the space “breathing” to establish itself as you would any other reputable and responsible business.”
