I’m not really a vaper, just an occasional puff during a busy work week. I’m not that addicted to nicotine, and I don’t want to go back to that. That’s why I choose flavorless e-liquids.
In the car
Sometimes when I suddenly crave a cigarette, I will pick up my e-cigarette. Driving on Vietnamese roads is not very pleasant, so sometimes, I will pick up my e-cigarette and take a few puffs, then I will realize that being stuck in traffic is not so bad.
When I first started vaping, I always wondered if people would look at me strangely. But all the drivers were just focused on driving, no one noticed what I was doing. The most convenient way to vape in the car is to use a USB-charged device.
In the restaurant
Most smokers have a habit of having a cigarette after a meal. When I was a smoker, I had this habit too, simply because I felt like I digested faster. Now I occasionally vape after eating, and I always pay attention to the reactions of the people I'm with when I vape. Some of my friends were a bit skeptical about this little thing, wondering if I was really allowed to use it, and I told them yes. Over time, they got used to it.
Business card
Unless I’m eating out, I always make a point of asking the server or bartender if they mind if I vape. They’ve either seen it, or know it’s fine, or don’t know anything about it. If so, I’ll give them a business card from The Vape Club and tell them the basics. Sometimes they’ll be interested in knowing more, or have a friend to share the information with.
Friendly vapers or quiet people
Some people don't want to explain e-cigarettes to strangers, they will just focus on what they are doing and don't want to be disturbed.
Some people like to talk about them, and share their reasons for choosing them. Whichever group you fall into, it is your personal choice. There is no right or wrong.
I always carry The Vape Club business card with me, so I don’t have to explain anything if I don’t want to. The introduction on the business card will direct those people to The Vape Club’s website and Facebook page so they can get support from the staff there.
