Behind the scenes, the operations of popular vape company, GeekVape.
GeekVape: The Big Picture
GeekVape burst onto the vape scene in December 2015. It was a big bang with a lasting impact, their first product, the Griffin RTA , was so successful that it became their signature product that propelled them into the ranks of the top affordable RTAs. At the time, affordable RTAs were few and far between, and the market for knockoffs was still growing. Eleaf had already found success with its Lemos tank line, and UD had made a few small splashes with their products. In the fall of 2015, OBS released the Crius, but within a few weeks it had undergone a lot of changes and quality control, but it was still a very innovative new idea. GeekVape’s Griffin also took the Crius’ form factor, but improved on its shortcomings with better insulation, improved top fill mechanics, and a larger, more buildable deck. Vapers were impressed and bought a lot of Griffin tanks, creating an RTA boom in 2016.
Reputation from GeekVape products
GeekVape is now a regular in the vaper’s collection, and they continue to build on their reputation with new atomizers. The Avocado RDTA has revived the Genesis atomizer with a new innovation that uses horizontal coils and cotton wicks. Vapers are very excited about this type of RDA , and the Avocado has been used as a template for other manufacturers’ RDAs.
GeekVape’s reputation continued to grow exponentially with the unique design and affordable price of the Tsunami RDA; first in a 22mm version and then in a 24mm version. In addition, Griffin has its own family of RTAs, and to date, there are four members in this family. The series includes the Griffin 25, Griffin 25 Mini, and Griffin 25 Plus, each with its own spacious build deck and unique features. The Avocado later added a 24mm version along with some new improvements such as a new fill mechanism, and a version with bottom airflow.
In addition to their huge collection of atomizers, GeekVape also produces sub-ohm tanks: the Eagle with an RBA deck, and the Digiflavor subsidiary Expresso tank in both 22mm and 25mm versions. GeekVape also produces premium wire suitable for Clapton and Alien builds, and a number of pre-built coils for vapers to use with their atomizers. Furthermore, they produce the 521 Tab ohm gauge for testing coils, a coil building kit, and many other useful products. They have also recently entered the device manufacturing market with a number of new products with the intention of launching a number of mods ranging from moderate power single battery mods to high power dual battery mods.
A branch of GeekVape: Digiflavor
A few new atomizers are joining GeekVape’s massive lineup under the Digiflavor banner. The new lineup is highly anticipated, with some unique atomizers that haven’t been seen on the market yet. The bottom airflow RDTA with top fill, just a little higher than the build deck are the Fuji GTA and Siren GTA. The Fuji GTA comes in two versions, a single coil version and a dual coil version. The Siren GTA comes in four versions, a 22mm version for MTL and DTL, and a 25mm version for both. The Rip Tripper is designed for the Pharoah RDA with a special deck style, and the new Lynx RDA has a special spring clamp to clamp the coil head.
GeekVape's Impact on the Market
There is no denying the influence GeekVape has had on the market as a whole. The Griffin’s convenient build deck, cotton wick, top fill hole, and juice lock hole have been replicated on many RTAs released in 2016 by other manufacturers. The Velocity build deck has become an industry standard, with most Chinese manufacturers using it on their atomizers. Whenever a company tries to one-up GeekVape with a new product, GeekVape will immediately respond with an upgraded version of their product that adds a top airflow system. The Avocado has also had a huge impact, with most RTA’s that have followed suit. GeekVape’s influence on the future development of the vape industry is undeniable.

The industry has been churning out products so fast that we can’t keep up. They compete healthily by constantly releasing new innovative products that are better, easier to use, and safer than what was created before. The impact of GeekVape is strong and noticeable, so it will be interesting to see how they develop and what they come up with in the future.
